We recently gathered to bid a warm farewell to two outstanding exchange students who are completing their programs and returning to their home countries: Fernando Wijaya (Indonesia) and Chananya Chitjaroonbhakdi (Momay) (Thailand). During their time with us, they infused the lab with new energy and diverse perspectives, making significant contributions to our academic research.
They are collaborating on a research project focusing on ion exchange membranes for seawater batteries. The project includes various experiments, such as material synthesis, electrochemical testing, and material characterization. To ensure both students return home with fond memories, all lab members hosted a farewell dinner in their honor. This gathering was a celebration of the hard work and cultural exchange that took place over the past few months.
Moving forward, our lab remains committed to welcoming talented students from around the globe to foster international academic exchange and research collaboration. The entire lab team sincerely wishes Fernando and Momay the very best in their future academic careers and looks forward to crossing paths again at international conferences or in future academic endeavors.
