Chananya Chitjaroonbhakdi (Momay), a Ph.D. student from the Petroleum and Petrochemical College, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, is participating in the International Internship Pilot Program conducted by National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) for a period of three months, from October to December 2025. Her research focuses on the development of advanced porous carbon materials for seawater battery applications. This includes the synthesis of carbon precursors derived from both polymeric (Polybenzoxazine) and biopolymeric materials, as well as the structural modification of porous carbon to enhance electrochemical performance as capacitive electrodes in seawater batteries. During the internship, she will be involved in comprehensive experimental work; material synthesis, structural and surface characterization, and electrochemical evaluation.
