We are proud to share that our team members has successfully advanced to Final Round of the 2025 Net Zero Tech International Contest!!

2025 Net Zero Tech International Contest was organized by National Taiwan University (NTU) and TECO Technology Foundation to fulfill their social responsibility of cultivating talent and promote Taiwan’s goal of achieving Net Zero Emissions by 2050 through this contest. This prestigious competition brings together innovators and researchers from around the world to showcase groundbreaking technologies and solutions that accelerate the journey toward a sustainable and zero emissions.
Advancing to the final round also gives us an opportunity to showcase the vision behind our work. Our team’s idea centers on integrated flow system for scarp battery upcycling and carbon dioxide to Lithium carbonate conversion. Global CO2 emissions are projected to 1000 ppm in 2100, and the world is expected to generate 464,000 tons of Lithium ion battery waste this year, with recycling rates below 5%. Making this two issues is urgently to address. Our idea’s aiming to using CO2 gas and Lithium ion batteries waste to generate electricity and produce lithium carbonate is an innovative approach that combines carbon capture, energy recovery, and battery recycling. It supports a circular economy and contributes to a net-zero future.

We might not have brought home the trophy, but reaching the finals at an international stage was a huge win for us! The journey gave us the chance to share our ideas with global innovators and gain new inspiration. This is just the beginning – we will keep pushing forward with our research to make an impact for a net-zero future.
