Taiwan Tech – Yonsei University Battery Workshop 2025

The Taiwan Tech – Yonsei University Battery Workshop brought together Professor from some Univeristy in Taiwan and Yonsei University – Korea, Industry representative, and academic on 9 January 2025 at International Building-201 National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) to discuss the latest breakthrough of the battery technology.

This workshop was initiative by Professor Fu-Ming Wang from NTUST. He invites some Professors from Yonsei University – Korea such as Prof. Sang Young Lee, Prof. Jong Hyeuk Park, Prof. Seong Ju Hwang, Prof. Yong Min Lee, Prof. Hong Kyung Lee, Prof. Jeung Hun Kim, and Prof. Won-Hee Ryu from Sookmyung Woman’s University. As well as Professors from some University in Taiwan such as Prof. Nae-Lih Wu (NTU), Prof. Chi-Chang Hu (NTHU), Prof. Chia-Chin Chang (NUTN), Prof. Jeng Kuei Chang (NYCU), and Prof. Wei-Ren Liu (CYCU)

The workshop featured a series of insightful presentations from all the professors as well as discussion about the several topics of battery improvement and safety isssues on the lithium-ion battery. As Prof. Fu-Ming Wang said that this event just the beginning for further amazing collaboration with Yonsei and Sookmyung Woman’s University in Korea. He also mentioned that by this collaboration not only produce great research journal, but also the applicable technology. Moreover, Prof. Fu-Ming Wang and Prof. Sang Young Lee also mentioned to open possibility for student exchanged between NTUST and Yonsei University.

This workshop ended with an exciting discussion about the future of battery technology. Participants shared ideas, learned from each other, and explored new ways to tackle challenges in energy storage and create better solutions for the future. Stay tuned for more update about our workshop event!
